BeST travelling....

           

        On 5^th January we were on our visit to industrial and we were divided to two groups, first group will be going to InnoBiologics and second group will be going to Stellagen Sdn Bhd.

         We (Group A) have factory visit to Stellagen Sdn. Bhd. at Batu Caves in the morning. This is the first time for me to hang out with the BeST program trainees, feels so exciting. We were welcomed by the officers in Stellagen Sdn. Bhd. and have a brief introduction about their company before they bring us to visit their factory. After a tour to their factory, I found that even though their company is small, but the equipments in either laboratory or factory are quite complete.

         Stellagen Sdn Bhd in Gombak. Stellagen is Biotechnology Company with the primary objectives of identifying, developing and commercializing technologies related to animal health, consumer health, microbiology and biochemical industries. Currently, Stellagen Sdn. Bhd focused on manufacturing and commercializing Stellar Lac which is probiotic for poultry. They are the manufacturer of animal growth promoter and have established in 2001. Their exporting region is Southeast Asia and also for local market. Their product which is Stellar Lac is high performance multi strain probiotics which consist of a variety of Lactobacillus strains isolated from the natural micro flora in the intestines of healthy chickens. Stellar Lac developed natural substitute for AGPs.

  

  

For other group,they must be at Seven o’clock in the morning, this is the first time they reach Cap Square so early. they have factory visit to Inno Biologics Sdn. Bhd. which located at Nilai, quite far away from Cap Square. Therefore, they have to depart from UniRazak early in the morning. After an hour of travelling, they reach Inno Bio. Soon after reach there, Dr Shivraj from Inno Bio gives us a presentation about Inno Bio. Then, they were separated into small groups before visiting their factory. they have a “tour guide” for each of the group. As they approach to each of the department, the representative from the respective department will explain the functions and also the procedures involved in their department. they felt warmed by their enthusiastic in explaining the role of their department. A visit to Inno Bio is interesting. 

 

        InnoBio Group Company which is fully owned by government of Malaysia and funded by Ministry of Finance under Malaysia’s National Biotechnology Policy. It is consisted of  3 division which is InnoBiologics, InnoBioDiagnosic and InnoBio Innovation Centre

      

        Overall, I think this visit have gained us many information of how the industrial working condition be like. All the skills which we learnt during communication module and entrepeneurship module maybe be applied as it can build our creativity and confidence in developing new technology or product like both of this companies does which are beneficial to human being generally.

DOODLING like FOUR....

05 january 2011 (Wednesday) Creative Thinking Skill – Prof. Dr. Barjoyai Bardai

 The class continues with other problem solving methods like doodling and imaging. This class was a bit different at first we learn about entrepreneurship.TOTALLY DIFFERENT !!!!.

I think I will teach about how to calculate all the margin and profit.suprisingly,this morning after tea break,we start the interesting part, we learn about solving problems.
One way to do it is to doodle..

Doodle?? ,by letting our hands to draw whatever comes out in our mind when we think about our problems.the first thing is try to find the problem and focus on it.while hand still dooling on the paper. Interestingg.. most of us did it unconsciously when we felt bored in class..and we are thinking about something else rather than what the lecture teach, we tend to doodle on paper and that actually meant something.

                                       

                       

All of us did the drawing and Prof. Barjoyai and his partner interpret it based on what we said about ourselves.

 Creative Thinking Skill – Prof. Dr. Barjoyai Bardai

Today was last day with Prof. Dr. Barjoyai Bardai. We learned about ‘The Innovation Process’.

•  Invention - To conceive the idea.

 Innovation - To use the process by which an invention or idea is translated into the economy.

Today class is extremely fun! First all of in the morning session, we have baking bread session using the bread factory brought by Prof. Dr. Barjoyai. Then, the Prof brought another gadget which is the microwave oven ricecooker. Our task during lunch break iscooked nasi briyani with brahim paste that have been provided to us. The purpose of the task given by the Prof is actually one of the problem solving methods using the creative thinking approach.

03 january 2011 (Monday): Creative Thinking Skill – Prof. Dr. Barjoyai Bardai

This is the second day with Prof. Dr. Barjoyai.He was a very unique I would say and lot of interesting fact about him..He carry his doraemon bag and showed us 1 by 1 the innovative things he found around the world. He shared a video clip from TED (Technology, Entertainment, Designs) which is a U.S. private non-foundation that is best known for its conferences, with us. It is an impressive talk given by Pranav Mistry regarding to the thrilling potential of sixth sense technology. Within fourteen minutes, he managed to widen my knowledge about the technology world. Later after the video clip, Prof taught us some basic creative method. We have a simple workshop immediately after the theory lesson. In the afternoon, the Prof gives a visionary presentation by showing us some of his high-tech gadgets. After a short session of theory, we have another simple workshop. 

Today, we had learned about basic creative method which is:

• Reverse Engineering    - List all of the origin components

• Provocation              - Removing the original/ most important     objects                   

• Movement                - Add new stuff to improved

My group was choose to create a biodegredable plastic from food waste. Prof. was giving us some idea to us. First, we must list all the origin components in this plastic (REVERSE ENGINERING METHOD), second to remove the important parts in that plastic (PROVOCATION METHOD ) and lastly, we add some new items to created advance objects (MOVEMENT METHOD). So, we add items like multy purpose plastic with decoration,bag,shoes and so on. This idea was not logic actually but it is possible can happen in few years more. Our world is move forward in new advance technology now that can give more beneficial to human in life. I was so enjoyed for this class.

CONDUCTING EFFECTIVE MEETING,BY ASSC. PROF MOHD KHIR

its all about meeting.whether its valid,or it is not valid.if the meeting is not valid,all the decision that have been made is also not valid.this is the important of knowing the status of the meeting.the first step of meeting is the memo.it must follow the format of the memo.diveded into 2;extraordinary agenda that must sent minimun 21 clear days and 2nd ;the general agenda that must be sent minimum 14 clear day.

in meeting it have been divided into 3
-convened;who have the right to called the meeting
-constituted
-held

the leader or head of a meeting is the chairman.the chairman have to manage the meeting appropriately to make the meeting efficient and effective
after the meeting have done and the decision of the agenda issued have been made and finalized,the minute of the meeting must be done and submit back to the attendees.
the munute must contain
-format of the minute and follow it
-content about what was discussed and the desition have been achieved
-preparation
-quorum
-motion/resolution

When we talk about communication, it can be monolog (1 person involve), dialog (between 2 person) and also speech. There are also said that communication is everything done to deliver something information.

Refer to the meaning of communication, it is a process whereby meaning is defined and shared between living organisms. Communication requires a sender, a message, and an intended recipient, although the receiver need not be present or aware of the sender's intent to communicate at the time of communication; thus communication can occur across vast distances in time and space. Communication requires that the communicating parties share an area of communicative commonality. The communication process is complete once the receiver has understood the sender

That’s why the body language also can called one of the communication type. Through body language, the massage can be delivering.

In this slot, we must present something in front of the class to demonstrate how to communicate and how to deliver some information. Every group must sent 1 of representative of their group and talk about  one of famous issue; that is YOUR FAVOROUTE LEADER AS AN ICON.

Grooming or how you look like. It touch about your style, appearance, and everything that people will looking at you. What color is suitable, what fabric will suit you perfectly and what style did you must avoid.for me,I learns aplenty of new knowledge ,new information and also NEW ME. From this session,I know that im a warnm color and all the warm tone will suit me best.i must avoid shining fabric to help me look beter.

WARM TONE COLOR

And also it touched about the fashion and style. For me that have problem with body size, I think this fashion I will look better.

Use dark color and not shining fabric and loose cut. It very perfect!!!!!!

The health care also included.some tips that I still remember is

-use cotton to reduce body odor.

-cut and make sure your nail is clean

-change your sock daily

And the list goes on.

As conclusion, it’s all about YOU,YOURSELF AND YOURS…….
